Today Glamour magazine announced the winners of its 20th annual Women of the Year awards. There are two honorees from the fashion industry and not a whole lot of surprises. The methodology behind Glamour‘s choices seems to involve a ratio of fame, successful projects and charitable undertakings.
Donatella Versace is among ten winners from the worlds of entertainment, business, sports, fashion and politics. Other winners include December cover girl Fergie, Cher, Julia Roberts and Queen Rania of Jordan. Glamour is also giving “special recognition” to 20 young women who are “already changing the world.” Everyone’s favorite 14-year-old blogger, Tavi Gevinson, is one of them.
The winners will be honored next Monday, November 8 at an awards gala at Carnegie Hall. We will be there and really, really hope Donatella graces us with her fabulousness.
