Nicholas Kirkwood x Rodarte Shoes Spring 2011

These hand carved shoes are really works of art. They seem like something you would see out of an old ancient Castle, or a piece of furniture from a museum. These were seen in Nicholas Kirkwood and Rodarte’s Spring 2011 collection for NYFW.

Rodarte designer Laura said “every shade of brown you can imagine, seventies suburbia, wood paneling, gold, off colors like chartreuse—basically, a combination of all the things that represent the area [our childhoold backyard] to us”
