Fashion News Roundup: Crystal Renn’s Dance Moves, Underwater Fashion Show, and the New J. Crew

Renn Again: Model of the moment Crystal Renn continues to buzz about the internet. This time, she is looking light as a feather dancing around in nothing but a VPL bodysuit. The dance routine was for a photo shoot by Skye Parrott for The Block, a new Canadian fashion magazine. Crystal actually has some pretty impressive moves. Perhaps dancing is part of her new exercise routine? {Ford Models Blog}

Unlikely Pair: Jake Davis of Jake Davis Test Shots recently designed two pairs of men’s shoes for Sebago’s Nexus Project. While there is nothing particularly feminine about the footwear, Jake chose a female subject to advertise them. Gorgeous model Rachel Ballinger (who you might recognize from, um, the Urban Outfitters website) moves gracefully atop a New York City rooftop in Jake’s designs. We’ve never seen someone pull off an American flag and boat shoes so well. {Jake Davis Screen Tests}

Under the Sea:
In Seoul this weekend, models performed some version of synchronized swimming in an underwater fashion show to showcase the designs of Park Sul-Nyeo. The event marked the launch of a new Korean department store. We’re awe-struck not only by the fact that these models were evidently able to hold their breath for minutes at a time, but also by how pretty these dresses looked under water. {Daily Mail}

The Hair Situation: You might remember that on a recent episode of Jersey Shore, Vinny finally found someone who could cut (or tape-up, whatever that means) his thick, Italian hair. It turns out Vinny, Pauly D, Ronnie and the Situation are not the only notables who’ve had the pleasure of visiting Miami’s Platinum Boyz Barbers. {The Moment}

New Crew: The new J. Crew Men’s Shop on Madison Avenue just opened it it looks pretty impressive. The store is full of reclaimed materials and boasts, in addition to J. Crew menswear, extended suiting and special items by Benson and Clegg, Timex, Alden, Persol, Rogue’s Gallery, Barbour and more. There’s even a basement filled with vintage treasures. {Racked}
