What Should We Knit for Fall? (A New Knit-Along!)

The current knit-along (the Sleeveless Tuxedo Shirt) is still in progress, but I've been seeing all of the new fall magazines and I'm looking forward to knitting for cooler weather (even though it's supposed to be 80 degrees today!).

And I'm even more excited because last fall's sold-out issue of Interweave Knits is available as a digital download in the Interweave store! So I've picked four of my favorites from that issue for us to consider for our next knit-along.

There are two cardigans, a wrap, and a pullover vest that really popped out at me when I first got the fall '09 issue of Knits, and as I was looking through the issue again today, I found that those four patterns still inspire me. I want all of them for my fall wardrobe!

So here they are—the Every Way Wrap by Okmin Park, the Maple Street Cardigan by Cecily Glowik MacDonald, the Big Montana Tunic by Cecily Glowik MacDonald, and Nordique Swing by Veronik Avery.

The Every Way Wrap is one of our most popular designs! A beautiful, versatile piece that's reversible, too, and the design is easily adaptable to any size.

The Maple Street Cardigan is so cute! I love the ruffles and the elbow-length sleeves. You can make this cropped cardi any length, too.

The Big Montana Tunic is a beautiful vest that incorporates a cowl collar and  lace panels down the front and back.

Nordique Swing is a lacy cardi that works perfectly as a fall layering piece (and looks like fun to knit, too!).
Since all of these designs appeal to me, I'm sure at least one of them will appeal to you! So click here to take the survey and vote on your favorite. I'll announce the winning pattern and our knit-along schedule on July 9.

Cheers,

Kathleen Cubley
