Everyone put their best paddle forward last night at Hudson Terrace for autism awareness. Spirits were high as guests danced to the beat of the drums and engaged in some rooftop mingling. There were also special visitors from all over the world and great raffle prizes that caused much excitement.

The Paddle for Autism Awareness was created in 2005 by a kayak instructor, Renee Beus, and the founder of the Global Autism Project, Molly Ola Pinney. The purpose of the project is to provide children with autism with the resources and instruction to kayak and also to spread the word on the disorder. The first event was held in Dublin, New Hampshire, the hometown of Molly. Today, paddling takes place in 11 cities nationwide- pretty impressive for only being around for five years!
