Fashion News Roundup: DVF For The Rockettes, The Bed Bugs’ Revenge & More

White Light, White Heat: Upscale L.A. brand Fred Segal has partnered with Akomplice to sell a Paint Project-friendly kit to promote positive environmental decision-making. How, you ask? If everyone painted their roofs white (thereby lowering cooling costs by reflecting the sun’s light instead of absorbing it), the amount of energy saved would be comparable to taking every car in the world off the roads for 11 (!) years. Looks like white just may be the new black. {Coolhunting}

Don’t Let The Bugs Buy:
After the SoHo Hollister store closed last week due to a bed-bug infestation, we were a little nervous but continued to make predictable frat-boy jokes. This week, however, we’re a little more sincerely worried– the South Street Seaport Abercrombie and Fitch just shut its doors as well, citing the same reason. But frankly, considering how much cologne is in the air over there (to say nothing of snide sales associates), we’d be surprised if anything can survive in that hostile environment for more than a few days. {Racked NY}

Fit To a T: We’re more than a little excited–Alexander Wang’s awesome fall accessories collection, in addition to the T by Alexander Wang line, will drop online this Thursday. {Alexander Wang}

If You’ve Got It, Rockette: The Unstoppable Diane von Furstenberg has recently announced that she will be designing for the Radio City Rockettes. We can’t wait to see those high-kicks in what seems like a sensible getup–DVF’s swoon-worthy wrap rompers. {Refinery 29}
