Posted: 01 Jul 2010 11:03 AM PDT
When they say in order to hide your flaws, bring out your greatest features, do you know what I say? I say okay then, I will find some sexy shirts, that will definitely work. You will hardly ever find me in a T-shirt, it's not really my style. I am a girl that just has to be unique. I can't go around looking like everyone else in this small town. So, below, I am going to show you 10 sexy shirts you have to have this summer. They definitely aren't for those girls that like wearing T-shirts!

10. Tropical Nights

Tropical Nights
Price: $22.80 at greatglam.com
I really like this shirt. In this saucy shirt, you can explore the beauty of the night. The open tie back design will allow you to adjust the shirt so that it will fit just right. There will be no annoying bra straps showing as this has been designed to wear braless.

9. Ashanti

Ashanti
Price: $27.80 at greatglam.com
The pin stripes on this shirt add a chic touch to it. At the same time, those leatherette accents create a pretty flirty piece. It buttons up at top to ensure a comfortable fit. So, what do you think about this shirt?

8. Attack It

Attack It
Price: $24.80 at greatglam.com
There is a reason this black shirt has the name "attack it." Because you will definitely be attacking that single guy you have been interesting in. The sequin trim wraps around the lower region along with the neck. The straps cross in the back of the shirt.

A recent study into the most common search terms used on the internet saw 'stylish childrens clothes' rating surprisingly highly, which triggered a survey into celebrity children. I like to think I'm well dressed, but as a two year old, I was in matching puffy gingham dresses with my sister, and tiny blonde plaits…not really setting the fashion world alight! It's so different for children these days…just check out these ones!

1. Suri Cruise

Suri is stunning! She has such a natural prettiness about her, and she's always wearing the cutiest clothes! From maxi dresses to shorts, she is always bang on trend, and even has a super cute pair of heels (although there aren't necessarily good for childrens feet). She's almost four now, a regular at movie sets and is always in the headlines. A future fashion queen in the making!

2. Romeo Beckham

Romeo is gorgeous. From the long blonde locks he had, to his new sleeker look, he always looks fantastic, and he dresses amazingly too. He's always so appropriately dressed…in a cute mini suit or a sports kit at a football game, he has a masculine style and always looks effortlessly stylish.

3. Maddox Jolie

Maddox is gorgeous. I love his super shiny hair! Maddox is now the older brother to Angelina and Brad's five other children, and at eight years old, looks set to keep his gorgeous good looks as he grows up. He's even rumoured to be into the ladies already…he's such a cutie!

I have always looked forward to summer vacation. I love going someplace new, discovering new museums, parks, or good swimming holes. I also love visiting the familiar, been there already places. But here lately, vacations have been tight and short because money has been in low demand! Looking for a budget friendly way for vacation fun? Keep reading for my advice on ways for saving money this vacation!

1. Book flights for the middle of the week

Fly on Tuesday or Wednesday and you will save quite a bit of money. Also, hotels generally have better rates for the week. Weekends are always higher. Restaurants are the same. We found a great little place that had Tuesday nights special for $4.00 per plate!

2. Use the Internet

Check out places like lastminute.com, halfoffdeals.com, savingsonarrival.com, and tripadvisor.com for great deal and printable coupons. You never know when a great deal might pass you up! Print the coupons and take them with. Then, don't forget to use them!

3. Stay cheaper

Stay cheaper

Hotels cost plenty more than little motels, bed-and-breakfasts, and campgrounds. I love a nice hotel, but here lately we have tried the smaller wayside motels and found them to be clean, friendly, and more affordable than he bigger, "better" hotels.

Gone are the days when knitting consisted of mums making school cardigans in vile colours for their kids. Now, you can buy a vast range of yarns, with so many colours and textures that a crafter is spoiled for choice. So, if you love crochet or knitting, why not see what you can do with some of these fabulous balls of wool?

1. Angel's Recycled Sari Silk

Angel's Recycled Sari Silk
Price: £6.95 at angelyarns.com
Certainly not cheap, but what gorgeous colours! You could really make a fabulous, unique garment with this range of 8 colours – a scarf or poncho would look stunning. What's more, the yarn is fair trade and, because it is made from recycled fabric, each skein is different.

2. Angel Angora 4 ply

Angel Angora 4 ply
Price: £16.95 at angelyarns.com
Do you love soft, fluffy fabric? Then make yourself something from this gorgeous angora yarn. It's especially good for sensitive skins, and they promise that 'no bunnies are harmed'!

3. Wendy Cosmic

Wendy Cosmic
Price: £1.73 at angelyarns.com
Wendy is a well-known brand among knitters, and is a reliable brand for plainer yarns. However, they also come up with some stunning and unusual textures like this 'long-haired' yarn with a furry look when knitted up. Love it!

I hate stress! Once upon a time, it was just something that would occur every now and then, and pass quickly. Stress has increased with modern living though, and now it's common to feel stress a few times a month, and more people than ever are taking medication to help them cope with it! There are ways to naturally lower your stress levels, though, and here are my top 10…

1. Herbal Helpers

kalms
Price:
$8.00 at kalmsstress.com
There are many varieties of herbal destressers, but my favourite is Kalms. They contain natural ingredients such as Valerian, Hops and Gentian, which are all traditionally used for their calming qualities. They are also an excellent treatment for anxiety, restlessness and insomnia! All you have to do is take two tablets two or three times a day, and you can take two before bed to help you sleep too. They've always worked fantastically for me, and I carry them in my handbag!

2. Ginseng

Ginseng
Price: $9.00 at hollandandbarrett.com
Ginseng tablets contain Ginseng mixed with vitamins and minerals. The Ginseng plant is renowned for its revitalizing qualities, and works to prevent the brain from becoming stressed, and raises energy levels. You take one tablet a day for twelve weeks, and you'll soon be feeling much less stressed, and less worn out, too!

3. Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy
Price: $30 at kerstinflorian.co.uk
A friend recently introduced me to Kerstin Florian's Calm Mind, and I love it! It contains lavender, peppermint, star anise and cajaput oils, blended together in a divine-smelling mixture which is perfectly designed to calm your mind. This one balances emotions, soothes and comforts and promotes deep rest, which means you'll feel as good as new once you've started using it. You can use it in so many different ways, too! From dabbing it onto your temples to sprinkling it onto pillows or into your bath, there's a great way to fit it into your lifestyle. It's fantastic!

I don't believe the old story that women only love bad guys, and nice guys finish last. What's wrong with a guy who treats you well? Dating is a minefield, that's for sure, so here are some tips on how to spot which one's a keeper, and some warning signs to know when you ought to slip out the door and run.

#1

He shows respect for all women. Any guy who refers to women in derogatory terms is a definite no-no, as sooner or later he'll turn that attitude on to you. However, if he is considerate to women in general, then he's likely to treat you well.

#2

He listens to your point of view and doesn't talk over you. If he doesn't agree with what you say, he won't tell you you're wrong, but will simply suggest reasons why he doesn't agree. No good guy will ever put you down and continually tell you you're wrong, especially in front of other people.

#3

He loves his mother but doesn't let her smother or dictate to him. Any guy who is still tied to mummy's apron strings is not a good guy to date, even if he cares about her. Mummy will make sure that you always come second best, as she wants to be the most important woman in his life.

The best, most generous people in the world seem to have a burning desire to help their fellow man. They often volunteer their time with their favorite charity, but others heed a different call. They launch their own non-profits, focusing their time and energy on a cause they truly believe in. If you're one of these amazingly kind-hearted people, you might be thinking about forming your own on-profit… but are you holding back because you don't know how to start? No worries! I've launched three non-profits and have compiled this list of 7 tips for forming a non-profit… I can help!

1. Make sure there's a need

Make sure there's a need

Your idea may seem like a winner to you, but do disadvantaged dogs really need help applying to obedience school? Do the whales need to be bathed? Do possums need alcohol counseling? Probably not. Ask friends and family for their thoughts on your non-profit idea, and see if they think there's a need, or whether you're being rather silly.

2. Choose the right name

Choose the right name

When forming a non-profit, make sure you choose a name that clearly indicates what it is you plan to do. Don't choose anything that has an acronym that means something weird or vulgar, and make sure the name isn't already taken, or close to something else.

3. Select your board

Select your board

By law, any tax-exempt non-profit organization has to have no fewer than five board members. Choose your board members carefully. Make sure they share your passion and that you know you can count on them!

I'm always up for learning something new, so I was really pleased to come across a site called the Email College. The site offers lots of FREE mini-courses on subjects such as business, personal development, careers and creativity. Each course is divided into sections, with one part sent via email every 1 or 2 days. Here are some suggestions I've picked out, something from each category.

1. Business

Always wanted to start your own business, but don't have a clue about where, what or how? Then try 'Starting the right business for you'.

2. Personal Development

Lots to choose from in this section! There are so many courses that it was hard to pick just one out. In the end, I settled for 'Choosing a Better Life'. Most of us want to change something in our lives, be it career, relationships or our financial situation, but don't know where to start. We feel stuck in a rut. This course could give you that little push you need to get you on the road to that better life!

3. Jobs and Careers

There's no doubt that it's a tough employment market at the moment, so if you're looking for a job you need every bit of help you can get to boost your chances. 'Writing a CV' and 'Winning the Interview Game' could be just what you need to get yourself noticed among the hundreds of applications.

4. Health

Ever been curious about your brain and how it works? In 'You and your Brain', find out about this most mysterious of organs. You´ll learn about brain chemistry, the nervous system and the emotions.

I understand that there are some teenagers dropping out of school. I'm not here to judge and while I do not get too personal on here, I am in no shoes to tell you that you're bad for dropping out of school. You see, I personally understand that teenagers have their own reasons. In the end, I want you to tell me the reason you or someone you knew dropped out of highschool.

7. A baby is coming into the world

A baby is coming into the world

Many teenagers who get pregnant decide that it is best if they drop out of school. This is so that they can be there for the baby and take care of him or her. I know that many of you are going to go against me on this one, but that's okay. My opinion: I think this is much better than having an abortion just so you can finish school and be successful in your life. What is "successful" anyways? If you turn out to be good mother who is a good provider for her baby, then I think that is successful.

6. They got a job

They got a job

Some teenagers drop out of highschool because they got a job offer. My opinion: that job offer better be real good if you are dropping out of highschool and you better think it through before you do so. Who knows, maybe it will be successful!

5. To take care of their parents

To take care of their parents

There are teenagers who drop out of highschool in order to take care of their parents because they become sick and not able to take care of themselves. My opinion: If you do this for your parents, then you must really care about them. You can always get your GED in the future, I would do the same thing.

Okay, so I am just going to come out and tell you that I got married at a young age. I was born in January of 1985 and got married on October 24, 2003. If you do the math, you will see that I was 18 years old. In my own personal opinion, if you have your priorities straight, then marrying young is perfectly fine. It's almost been 7 years since I have got married and we are still going strong. In fact, 2 children have developed from that love. One is 5 (Ariela) and the other is 4 (Ian). I do not regret anything. These 8 pros and cons on getting married at a young age is to help you make your decision. In order to make a decision, you have to look at things both ways – hence the pros and cons. Let's get started now:

To start with, I am going to give you the four cons of getting married at a young age:

1. Not enough time to get to know each other

Not enough time to get to know each other

Chances are, you really do not know one another. If you rush into marriage, then you are not going to get the time to know each other fully.

2. How is the financial well-being?

Of course, younger people are just starting out, so the financial well-being may not be so good. With that in mind, you probably won't have a big wedding.

3. Can you go to college and be married?

Do you think you can go to college and be married? Sure, but you have to stay faithful.

4. Will you have time for your friends?

When you get married, are you going to have enough time with your friends? Do your friends mind hanging out with a married couple?

One of the most important pieces of your work-out wardrobe is, of course, the right trainers. But how do you choose just the right pair? There are so many types, so many brands…! Don't fret! I can help. Here are 7 tips for choosing the right trainers.

1. Use

Use
The first question you need to ask yourself when looking for new trainers is how you're going to use them. Will you be walking or running or biking or lifting weights? Indoors or outdoors? On asphalt or the beach? How and where you'll use them is something you need to consider when you're choosing new cross-trainers.

2. Price

Price
Now you need to think about how much you intend to spend. What's your budget, and how much wiggle room do you have? Come up with a price range and only look at shoes in that range. Most brands of shoe have trainers in a range of price points, so you ought to be able to find something great for less than $100.

3. Socks

Socks
If you prefer using ankle-socks or knee-socks, thick or thin, bring a pair with you when you're shopping for new trainers. Otherwise, you won't get an accurate fit, and you may even get blisters the first few times you wear them… ouch!

Sometimes it feels like all the single people go elsewhere for Summer, and everywhere is covered in couples linking arms and romantic picnics…it's normal to feel a little down about being single. You shouldn't, though! There are some reasons that it's great to be single during the Summer months, and here are my favourites…

1. You'll Live Longer

You'll Live Longer
Researchers have shown that while tying the knot adds years to a man's lifespan, it shaves about 1.4 years off a woman's. A study of over 100,000 people proved this, and although it isn't immediately clear why, living longer is certainly a great reason to stay single!

2. No Football

No Football
The Summer months are always full of sports, but unless you like it or want to check out the players, there is no need for you to watch it! You can watch SATC 2 instead, or invite the girls around for an R.Patz sleepover…whatever you'd like to do instead, it won't be shouting about a penalty, or a missed goal!

3. Waistline

Waistline

Man sized meals and cuddling up on the sofa won't keep you looking great, but walking your dog (and checking out the men in the park) certainly will. Women put on an average of two stone when in a relationship, so you'll look much better single!

Garden parties are fantastic. Not only do you get to show off how great your garden is, but you can enjoy the outdoors while socializing with friends, and barbeques and wine put everybody in a great mood. Want to give your garden a bit of extra kick for your party? I've been researching ways to spice up my garden without a complete re-decoration, and here are my favourites…

1. Refresh Your Furniture

Refresh Your Furniture
I love my garden furniture, and I wouldn't want to replace it. It can start looking a little too familiar after a few parties, though, so I love this idea of refreshing it without changing it for good! Find a fabric that you love, and buy a large cut of it. Then, using fabric scissors, cut a piece that is big enough to cover the backs of your chairs. If there is already fabric on the chairs, remove this, and use it as a guide. Sew it to fit the chairs, and it should just slide on. Hey presto, great new furniture, and you can even make a range of covers for different occasions! Just make sure that the fabric is waterproof, or the pattern could be spoiled if it rains.

2. Lounge In Style

Lounge In Style

Beanbags are fantastic. From sofas to single seats, you can get them in any shape, and they come with covers which are simple to clean. Which makes them perfect for putting in your garden, creating extra seating for your guests, and a very welcoming garden. I've got a few pink ones, and some contrasting black ones, which are always the best seats in the house!

3. Prepare For Picnics

Prepare For Picnics
While barbeques are great, sometimes you just don't feel like the effort, so being prepared for picnics is a good idea! Find some more great waterproof fabric, and hem the edges. Make it big enough to fit easily in your garden, with room for food and a few friends. If you want a more luxurious picnic blanket, buy a wool rug, and some PVC. Line the underside of the rug with the PVC, and hem it as normal.

1. Clogs

You may still be undecided about how clogs fit into your wardrobe but you have to admit that this Jeffrey Campbell beauty cannot be ignored. The print is cute!

2. Shorts

Again, these may not be your cup of tea. But there are many ways to include them in cute outfits. Forget about the other crazy stuff you’ll find when you click on the link; focus on the floral shorts.

3. Necklace

Now a floral necklace is a must. I confess that I probably have three and they are of different styles and colors. If you want to start a collection, check out this link.

4. Mini Dress

The last dress posted on that link is just a total sweetheart. I wonder if there is a version with a white background. Won’t it be cuter?

5. Skirt

Again, this is something I have too many of. I’ve made some; I’ve bought some. I have a couple that were given to me as well. How about you? How many floral skirts do you own?

I've been a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow for years, and I love her in the "Iron Man" movies! She's a fantastic actress, and gorgeous, too… and, as I learned watching her in "Duets," she's also got an amazing signing voice! If you're a fan, too, then read on! Here's my list of 8 great Gwyneth Paltrow movies…

1. "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2"

I thought Gwyneth was amazing in these films! She played the beautiful, snappy Pepper Pots in a way I don't think anyone else could have, and that style! I love it! I also don't think anyone else would have had that same smart chemistry with Robert Downey Jr., either…

2. "Se7en"

This has to be one of the creepiest, most dismal movies ever made, but the gorgeous Gwen brings a sweetness to her character not often seen. She's luminous, sad, but lovely. I won't ruin the ending, but I will say I'm glad we don't have to SEE what happens to her…

3. "Emma"

As much as I love Gwyneth, I'm also a fan of Jane Austen! So naturally I love "Emma" with Gwen in the title role! She's adorable, funny, and perfect!

Relationships aren't just about the people inside them. Different types of relationship, and break up, will teach you different things, and expose you to different emotions and how to handle them. There are some relationships that every woman needs to have, to show them all the different types, and to give them the best knowledge and power to take into their future relationships. Here are the ten types everyone needs…how many have you had?

1. Your First Love

Your First Love
You remember your first love, right? The way your heart fluttered, and everything reminded you of him, and all those love songs started to make sense? Then you got your first kiss, and at some point afterwards, your first break up. As well as teaching us that love hurts, your first love shows you that it can be beautiful, and that it is worth believing in. You'll even eventually see that the relationship still has good memories, even through the pain, and that the pain does go away. What a hard lesson, though!

2. The Holiday Fling

The Holiday Fling
The Holiday Fling is important when moving on from the first love…it's just about fun, and enjoying yourself, with no pressure on making things go further. The lesson? That some relationships can be perfect for you at that moment in time, without having a future, and that that is okay. And also that having fun is okay. This lesson isn't so bad…well, who could complain about the eye-candy?!

3. The Sugar Daddy

The Sugar Daddy
Your personality will depict which version of the sugar daddy you fall for. Some people will find someone with money to burn, who treats them like a princess, and will spoil them rotton. Others will go for an older man, who may not be financially rich, but is rich in knowledge and experience and doesn't mind sharing it. This helps us to set limits on how much we should share, and how to let someone completely in to our lives and ourselves. And it can be quite fun…

Partying is great fun, and there is nothing better then getting dressed up and enjoying yourself for a few hours, whether you are dancing the night away or just having a boozy barbeque. Did you know that your skin suffers from hangovers too, though? Which explains that pale, pasty look most of us have when we wake up the next morning. Here's the secret way celebrities cure them…

1. Wash Your Face

Wash Your Face
Use a soft face towel and gently wash your face in warm water. Not only will this keep you clean but it's also the start of the revival process for your skin…you'll start to feel much more human afterwards, and it opens your pores ready for the rest of the process. Make sure the water is warm, not cold or hot!

2. Cleanse with a hydrating, creamy moisturizer

Cleanse with a hydrating, creamy moisturizer
Use a thick, creamy moisturizer that has hydrating properties to cleanse your face. It should be easily absorbed, and if you have sensitive skin, try to find one with no fragrance as your skin will be feeling rough enough anyway. I have a few moisturizers especially for reviving my skin…it's worth buying a good one!

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliate

Next, remove any dirt or remaining make up by exfoliating your whole face. Try not to use harsh exfoliators, which will strip your skin of natural oils, and instead use a high quality, gentle exfoliator. I love using goats milk exfoliators!

Being a girl often means keeping up with the latest fashion trends, or at least being able to start up a new one. Guys have it too easy. They can simply throw on a pair of jeans with any old t-shirt and look completely presentable. On the other hand, we girls need to put a little more thought into what we are going to wear. I've listed 8 style tips every girl should know to help you out.

8. Try not to wait until the very last minute to choose an outfit

Try not to wait until the very last minute to choose an outfit
Sure, there will always be spur-of-the moment parties, dinner engagements, or other events that involve dressing up. Some girls might be able to pull off a great outfit at the last second, but I find that this is often disastrous. The best way I've found to get around this dilemma is by organizing at least three outfits on hangers ahead of time, complete with accessories. This then provides me with a few outfits to choose from at any given moment, without worrying if I match!

7. You don't have to keep every piece of clothing you've ever worn

You don't have to keep every piece of clothing you've ever worn
There are times when you just cannot part with a favorite pair of jeans, despite the holes that keep multiplying in numbers. I try to follow the rule that says clothes need to be gotten rid of if they've sat in a closet for multiple years without any use at all. I do have a favorite pair of jeans that I continue to patch on a regular basis, but I have finally parted with many shirts I wore in high school. It doesn't hurt to update your wardrobe from time to time.

6. Be wary of color combinations

Be wary of color combinations
Just because you like every color of the rainbow, this doesn't mean you have to wear them all at once. It's cute on little kids, but dressing like Rainbow Bright looks a bit odd on older girls. It's also best to avoid monochrome dressing as well. The only time this might be acceptable is if the outfit involves a suit jacket with a matching skirt or pair of slacks. These can easily be accessorized with shoes, jewelry, and a purse to liven up the style a bit.
