Posted: 11 Jun 2010 06:46 AM PDT From our friends at thefind.com: The menswear look for women has long been a favorite trend of mine because it's a style almost anyone can pull off. And any outfit should always have a fabulous pair of shoes on your feet. The women's oxford is a perfect way to try out the menswear trend if you're not quite sure Even if you're a die hard fashionista who can't live without wearing a pair of heels everyday, you can wear oxfords too!. My favorite heeled oxford is the Tory Burch Victor Perforated Wedge Oxfords. The perforated leather is totally on trend and the 4 inch stacked wedge ensures that you'll stay comfortable. While I wish I could prance around town in heels all day everyday there are flat oxfords, of course! There are plenty of plain or duo-colored oxfords, but I've got my eye on the Candela Mesh Lace Oxfords. Just remember, you certainly don't want to wear your ratty socks! Posted: 11 Jun 2010 01:24 AM PDT From our friends at LollieShopping.com: She's back, and armed with summer swimwear tips! It's Bluefly Stylist Tanesha Smith with fab fashion tips to help you pick the right swimsuit. Here's what she has to say. What are the hot swimwear trends? Neoprene surfer/sporty-inspired cuts and colors are humongous right now. On the other end of the spectrum are cut-outs and suits with mesh panels. This season is not particularly considerate of tan-lines. What type of bathing suit makes the legs look longer? Suits or bottoms with higher cuts on the leg and try a suit with mesh insets (totally happening). The appearance of more skin will extend your legs. And who needs to swim anyway, throw on your highest heel and lounge poolside. How does a woman show off a toned tummy? Try a monokini! A toned tum can get away with a daring cut. Again, the neoprene-like a spanx swimsuit! What about those of us who want to accentuate our curves? This classic cut by Shoshanna works for the haves and the have nots. If you're spectacularly stacked it will support you and if you could use a hand it provides a bit of volume. Not that different from swim actually: mesh and cut-outs are major. Platforms and wedges are still totally relevant as well. What sandals are worth the splurge? Which sandals on Bluefly are perfect at $100 and under? Classic shoes by big name designer will always be worth the splurge. The Pigalle by Christian Louboutin will always be a classic "do." You will not be sorry about having spent the money. However—not every sole can be a red one! We have great options under $100 from the likes of Jeffrey Campbell, Boutique 9, Kelsi Dagger, and Velvet Angels. With the idea in mind that hair is an accessory, wavy après-swim hair is a great styling tip to try. Sleeping in some easy braids should do the trick. Summer is a good time to try anything cropped, fringed, or crocheted you've been too afraid to before. You can get away with a lot in the name of "just heading to the pool."
Posted: 10 Jun 2010 09:14 AM PDT Sometimes, you just know it’s meant to be. After perusing the latest styles at HandbagHeaven.com, I felt the Hudson Oversized Clutch by Urban Expressions $38.95, beckoning me to click on it. While loving the asymmetrical details and hardware, I couldn’t help but notice the awesome zippered pocket options, especially on the front and back of the bag — rare for a clutch, and perfect for my cell, metro card, and lip gloss! HandbagHeaven.com was kind enough to give me the bag complimentary, and I went right to work testing its durability and versatility. It comes with a wrist strap, although I’ve been tucking it under my arm, and using it as a day bag, opposed to evening-only bag. It spices up the more casual looks in my wardrobe, and keeps up with my glam looks for evening. It looks expensive, and a friend even asked me ‘If my new bag was Rebecca Minkoff.’ Nice. Another cool aspect? It’s certified vegan, with no animal testing or animal products used. Overall, a big thumbs up, and if you’re looking for a new on-trend summer bag that will most likely come in at $50 or less, check out the latest selections at HandbagHeaven.com while they are still offering 15% off the entire site!
