Posted: 12 Jun 2010 08:01 AM PDT I have noticed that some celebrities that have bad,bad hair. However, I have noticed a lot that have pretty awesome hair and that has inspired me to write this post on the top 7 celebrities with the best hair. Are you interested in learning which ones I have included on my list? Of course you are, so let's get started… 7. Alicia KeysPhoto Credit: bigdmiaAlicia keys has naturally brown hair. She used PM shines, which is a clear color gloss that is used to bring out the shine. Yes, that is why her hair is so shiny. Do you like her different hairstyles? Which ones are your favorite? 6. RihannaPhoto Credit: Daniel Suarez™Rihanna not only has a beautiful voice but have you looked at her lately? I love her hair! Many say that her hair is her most beautiful feature, right after her beautiful eyes. Lately, it has been short, but it is still gorgeous. 5. Miley CyrusPhoto Credit: mileyicons101Whether she wears hair extensions, a wig or a combination of both as Hannah Montana, in this day and age, it is easy to get her hairstyle. I love Miley's hairstyle — long with beautiful waves. What about you? Do you like it? |
Posted: 12 Jun 2010 02:22 AM PDT Don't we all love a home-made cake! Imagine that gorgeous smell wafting through your house … Here are some of my favorite cakes, with recipes for you to try (all in UK quantities, so anyone else will have to 'translate'!) 1. Carrot cakeThere are lots of variations on this theme, some with cream cheese icing and some without. My own preference is to leave off the icing, but I've found a recipe with it, so you can please yourself. 2. Banana cakeMy mum has a great recipe for banana bread. I could eat huge wedges of this fantastic cake. It's not too sweet, but very satisfying. 3. Ginger cakeA classic cake, and for a very good reason – it's just so tasty. I once tried an egg-less recipe and it worked beautifully. So here's a recipe for vegans or people with allergies. |
Posted: 12 Jun 2010 02:15 AM PDT I love Kate Moss' clothes. The winter collection was a huge hit, with plenty of gorgeous key pieces and quirky rarer ones too. However popular the pieces were, they looked great, and fitted amazing too. I'd completely forgotten she was set to do a summer range until I got an email saying it was to be released at midnight, and it's an amazing collection! Here are my top 8 pieces… I can't wait to get my hands on them! 1. Tiered Ruffle Maxi DressPrice: $215 at topshop.comMaxi dresses are set to be huge throughout summer and this is one of those classic ones that every woman will want. From the gorgeous pastel yellow colour to the flattering bust and ruffles which lengthen legs and flattens tummies, it's a great dress! It doesn't even require much accessorizing, and is designed to be suitable for formal or everyday wear. Try it with a straw hat for relaxing in the garden, and with a drop necklace and high heels for a nighttime look. Divine! 2. Poppy Lace Chiffon DressPrice: $100 at topshop.comYes, floral inspirations are still very much around and this gorgeous chiffon dress is sure to be one of the key pieces of summer! The poppy print is simply divine, and the black chiffon is flattering yet very sexy. It's quite short, with a low cut front, but the chiffon and long sleeves give it a twist which makes it suitable for wearing anywhere. It looks so good teamed with black heels! 3. Cotton Halterneck PlaysuitPrice: $64 at topshop.comI love this playsuit. It has all the key essentials of a playsuit, being easy to wear and comfortable and of course it looks great too. It's made of denim, which is very on trend and the slight turn ups give it a quirky look which I love! The lining has a gorgeous floral print, and it feels lovely. It'll make you feel so stylish, and it's really easy to accessorize. Perfect for festivals! |
Posted: 12 Jun 2010 01:35 AM PDT Debenhams recently conducted a study about women and their makeup bags. 89% of them admitted that they haven't cleaned out their make up in over a year, and had no idea about the germs make up can harbour and when to throw it out. I've been researching when you should clean out yours, and here's a list of the seven things you should check for… 1. LipstickEver noticed that your old favorite lipstick suddenly starts to dry your lips out? Keep wearing it, and they'll soon be blistered, irritated and very dry. A key sign that your lipstick is going old is when it starts to change colour slightly, or feels a bit scratchy when you apply it. High quality lipsticks should last around 9 months as a minimum, so keep an eye on yours after then. 2. MascaraAfter four months, your mascara will start to look dry and crusty. This is partly caused by micro organisms sucking the moisture out. Then you'll start to get eye infections and red, itchy eyes. To avoid this, try to buy a new mascara every four months, and don't pump your mascara, as this pushes germs back into the tube. 3. BrushesPhoto Credit: Peanuts_Photography72% of women never wash their make up brushes, meaning all your oil, skin cells, make up and any dust or reminents from inside your make up bag coat the top, and cover your skin everytime you use them. Uncleaned make up brushes can harbour some really horrible germs, including herpes, ringworm and impetigo… wash them once a week with baby shampoo, and you'll really lengthen their life. |

After all, it's the "now and forever" parfum – long lasting and strong yet embodies femininity and a woman's grace. Ever since I bought mine a few months ago, it has become not only a favorite… but a "treat" for me. A gift to myself. So if you're keen on getting your very own Chanel N5 bottle, get the 1 oz version for $260.00.
