Did you watch the celeb-filled charity gala last week? I've never seen so many red dresses! Everyone from Jessica Simpson to Brooke Vincent was being a Scarlet lady, and its certain to be a huge trend through Spring and Summer. There were eight styles that were huge, though, and here are my top high street alternatives…

1. Ponti-Roma Tailored Pencil Dress

Price: $64 at asos.com
Pencil dresses were huge, and this one is brilliant! It's made in the style of a very similar one worn by Victoria Beckham. From the slit top to the tight fitting shape, it is amazingly flattering and only needs red heels to finish it off… or to be a bit different, how about a thick black belt and matching shoes?

2. Asos Origami Fold Over Dress

Price: $34 at asos.com
This orange-red really makes some skin tones glow, and this style was massive. The folded top is perfect for flattering smaller busts, and the nipped in waist gives a gorgeous hourglass figure which will look divine! Buy a big animal pendant that hangs just over the top of the dress, and team with silver heels. You'll be full of confidence!

3. Ruched Sheer Panel Dress

Price: $64 at asos.com
This dress is bang on trend, with the sheer bust panel fitting in perfectly with the risqué lingerie trend and the nipped in waist and ruched panelling giving you a body to die for. The colour looks great against pale or tanned skin, and adding black accessories finishes the look. Or if you are feeling really brave, try gold… it sounds odd, but gold really makes this colour pop!

Debit cards can be used in different places. Today, you can easily use them to get gas at the gas station without even having to go in! By selecting to "pay at the pump," all it takes is a swipe of the card and you are ready to pump the gas. Debit cards can be used in many places and some of these places are not the best choice. Let's put the relationship, fashion, makeup tips to the side for just a moment and look over the 8 places not to use your debit card…

8. Online

I know, I know, ordering stuff online is such a good idea, but on the Internet, you have potential vulnerability. I use PayPal to pay for my purchases online, you may want to start looking into this option as well. PayPal has it where you can get a card number that can be used only once. Generating a card number is pretty neat.

7. Big Ticket Items

When it comes to a big ticket item, using a credit card would be much safer than using a debit card. Credit card companies allow you to dispute if something goes wrong with the purchase or the merchandise. With a debit card, you do not have as much protection. Some cards are also offering extended warranties.

6. When a deposit is required

When a deposit is required, you should not use your debit card. With your debit card, the store is going to have access to every dollar in your bank account.

You've decided to take the plunge and use an online dating site. The first step is to find the right photos… but the second step is even harder — the online profile. How do you figure out what to say? What should you leave out, and what must you include? Here are the things you absolutely must be honest about when you fill out that profile page…

1. Marital status

First of all, if you're married, you shouldn't be on a dating site at all. That being said, there are relationship statuses in between "married" and "single." Whatever your status, be honest about it.

2. Parental status

If you have children, want children, or loathe them, be honest about that, too. This one can definitely come back and haunt you later!

3. Religious views

Even if religion isn't an important part of your life, it might be to potential suitors, so describe your religious beliefs up front.

4. Political views

Whether you're a Republican, Democrat, Liberal, or Conservative, chances are, you're not going to be compatible with someone who doesn't share your political views. Be frank about your views, but you don't have to go into great detail.

Summer is the best time of the year for fancy nails, especially your toenails. After being cooped up all winter in closed-toed shoes, it's time to show 'em off again! Here are some great tips to help your manicure and pedicure to last a little longer and shine a little brighter!

1. Use moisturizer often

Pamper your hands and fingers with a deep moisturize treatment, wear gloves while you sleep, and treat yourself to a wax as often as you can.

2. Shape them

Trim your nails in a straight shape, not rounded. Straight nails look more fashionable and professional.

3. Remove cuticles

Keep your cuticles soft with cuticle softener and remover. Always use a cuticle stick; never nail clippers to remove cuticles. Don't cut your cuticles. This can lead to infection in your nails, not to mention it just doesn't look good!

If you've ever considered making your living on your own, as a freelancer, then you might be a little worried about where you'll find gigs or projects. Whether you're programmer, designer, writer, editor, photographer, or virtual assistant, there are dozens of legitimate websites where you can find work. But which ones are the best? Here's my list of the en best freelance websites…

1. GetAFreelancer

I love this site, because it's so easy to land great gigs here. You can post a freelancer profile, so buyers can offer you projects, or you can browse projects and bid on just the ones you want. Once the project is complete, the buyer can pay you directly, or use the built-in payment center on the site. If they opt for that, then expect to pay a small project fee.

2. eLance

This is the very first freelance site I used to find projects, and I still use it now and again. To bid on projects, you must be a registered, paying user, which a lot of freelancers don't like. There are different levels of "membership," each with their own subscription fee and their own perks.

3. SoloGig

I like SoloGig because you can search for projects and gigs in your own area, not just by your expertise! They also offer a free e-mail alert that can let you know when someone posts a project that fits your profile. The site is very esy to use, and I visit every other day.

Celebrities spend a lot of time shooting films or playing sports, but a lot of them also devote their time to causes they find worthy. It seems like every cause and charity has a celebrity spokesperson, and a lot of celebrities, like Selma Hayek and Michael J. Fox have even launched their own charitable foundations. Here are eight celebrities and their favorite causes…

1. Morgan Freeman for the American Red Cross

The Red Cross is about more than just helping people and communities recover from disasters — they're dedicated to keeping people safe, and helping them prepare for emergencies. Morgan Freeman has long seen the importance of the Red Cross' mission, and has donated his time and energy to promoting awareness, especially after the recent earthquakes in Haiti.

2. Angelina Jolie for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees

Angelina Jolie's dedication to the cause of refugees isn't fleeting, or just about photo ops. She's been deeply involved since 2001, and has traveled the world, visiting refugee camps in the most remote, war-torn areas, raising awareness, demanding action, giving hope, and speaking out.

3. Jessica Simpson for Operation Smile

All over the world, Operation Smile helps bring beautiful, happy smiles to children with various facial deformities, like cleft palates and cleft lips. The support they give these children and their families isn't just about appearances — some of these deformities are so severe, they can impact a child's ability to live. Jessica Simpson and her family have been involved with Operation Smile since 2003, helping to raise awareness and no doubt, spending a lot of time and money with the organization.

If you’re having one of those bad days when you just cannot seem to stick to your diet – holing yourself up from the rest of the world is no solution. That’ll just make you crave for food all the more. Here are some useful tips can help you resist the food temptation.

1. Do something else!

When watching your fave TV series, don’t sit through the commercials. Fold the laundry – do some sit-ups or step-ups. If you have a bowl of popcorn with you while you watch, you won’t even notice that you have already gobbled up the entire container.

2. Follow the “one serving” rule

If you’re literally drooling over the thought of ice cream – keep individual servings on hand and make it a rule to have one serving only!

3. Learn to read your mind

If you’ve just had a light dinner and your mind is telling you to sample a piece of chocolate cake – that’s just a food fix telling you what to do and not a real hunger pang!

4. Stop and smell your food

Sometimes, even the aromatic smell of what’s cookin’ on the kitchen is enough to make you feel full.

5. Drink water!

Finally, slurp one serving of soup or drink up a glass of water before eating lunch or dinner – this will make you feel fuller, faster.
These are some of my tips for making sure I don’t fall into the old and too-familiar a trap of food temptation. What do you do when you want to say no?
