Spring time is the perfect time for a makeover, but what if your man needs a makeover too? All men like to look good, but if he's stopped making an effort or simply needs an updated look, there are some tried and tested ways to make him over. I've been researching and testing the best ones, and here are my top 7!

1. Presents

Next time you are out shopping, pick up something you'd love your man to wear, and buy it for him. When you get back, tell him you saw it and just knew he'd look hot in it. Then, when he wears it, give him lots of compliments on how great it looks. He'll look for more in that style, knowing he looks great.

2. Salon

If his hair is outdated, try buying a new gel product, and helping him to style it. He should love the attention, but if he doesn't let you touch his hair, tell him all about the new barbers and how great they cut hair. Then tell him how much you love freshly cut hair on a man, and book him an appointment. A sneaky conversation with the stylist later, and you should get a style you both love!

3. Hairs

Book a couples day at the local spa, and bribe him into going with you. Allow him to enjoy your usual procedures, such as a facial, massage and swim, and then point out any additional services. For example, book him in for a back wax while you have your bikini done, and meet him in the sauna after. He's unlikely to go to a spa on his own, as they are still seen as very feminine, but he should go with you, and the benefits will be huge!

There are many things that are only supposed to be of interest to the male sex. Well guys, we're not letting you keep them to yourselves any more. Here is my list of things that girls aren't supposed to love.

1. Trains

I had a train set as a small child, which was very unusual in the early 70s. Clearly I was a toddler feminist. I must emphasise that I have NEVER been into trainspotting, before anyone mistakes me for a nerd.

2. Computer games

I know plenty of girls devoted to their consoles. Someone told me of a very sweet, girly friend of his, who undergoes a complete personality change when she picks up an Xbox. It's all-out war …

3. Football/soccer

Again, I know girls who are football fanatics. In spite of what men might think, this is nothing to do with the players' looks. Although on my part, the only time I take an interest in footy is during the World Cup. All that good-looking foreign totty running round in shorts ….

The first few episodes I saw of Heroes, three things got stuck in my head right away: 1. Sylar is yummy, 2. Masi Oka will make a wonderful, adorable friend, and 3. Claire has got a serious case of “popular girl” hair. Popular girl hair? Well, you know what I’m talking about — the kind of ‘do that many popular girls (often cheerleaders) in teen movies sport. The blonde with bouncy curls kind. As Heroes moved to the subsequent seasons, I lost interest in the show but remained observant of “the cheerleader’s hair style.” Here are ‘dos that Hayden has sported over the years I’ve been stalking the..uh…cheerleader:

1. Big Curls

1
Not in a big hair kind of way. If I remember correctly, this is the cheerleader hair that got me started on following her hair-volution. She looked so innocent then, didn’t she?

2. Layered Straight

2
She still had that innocent glow here as well, didn’t she? I’m not so sure about the almost two-toned coloring but she looked cute with straight hair.

3. Layered Side Bangs

3
This is a pretty cut. Methinks the eyebrows look a bit dark for her hair but she still has that porcelain doll aura. Must be the very rosy cheeks.

There aren't many things scarier than meeting a new boyfriends parents.
However, with the right attitude and outfit, you are very likely to win his parents over. Just follow these 5 tips and before you know it, they will be joining your fan club!

1. Don't ask him …

Men have no interest in fashion, and won't understand what the fuss is about. He's not being unhelpful, he simply believes that if he likes you his parents will too. Whatever he says, put an effort in to getting it right.

2. No low cut shirts, miniskirts or fish nets …

Remember that he is still their little boy, and they want to see that you can look after him and make him happy. So while dressing like a stripper might make him happy, it's probably best to save that until after and dress a bit conservatively.

3. Go for knee length …

Knee length skirts always look classy, and can be teamed with a cami, a T- shirt or a jumper to make a casual yet very elegant look. Wide legged pants are also very flattering and parent friendly.
Wear nice underwear, for confidence, and comfortable shoes. Remember that there is nothing wrong with showing your figure, but you aren't on the pull!

What a lovely gown to wear to your own special ball with your own Prince Charming, only this time, you can stay past midnight! I love the corset lacing detail on each side, and the delicate beading all over the bodice. Love the dress, but not the stark white color? It's available in four dreamy shades: white, ivory, antique, and champagne.

2. Sleeping Beauty, Style SB2908

So demure, so pretty! This gown features a pretty cap sleeve and a flattering sweetheart neckline. The beading is so detailed and so intricate, extending from the empire bodice to the sparkly cap sleeves to a smaller detail on the skirt. Say "I do" to your handsome prince, and dance with him once upon a dream!

3. Snow White, Style SW2906

I'm so in love with this dress! It's an A-line gown with a delicate rouched detail on the bodice, glittering crystal and pearl details, and a tow of tulle ruffles along the full hem. All four of Snow White's collections have been oh-so-pretty, but this dress from the fourth collection is my favorite! It's just so sweet…

When I started putting on makeup, I was a teenager and I must say that even though I thought I knew what I was doing, I didn’t! I know, there is nothing worse than getting advice from older people, so when the older ones in my life told me how to do it, I don't think I took it to heart. However, the truth is that some advice really is worth taking! I always tried to take my mom's advice. We have read thousands of beauty tips and tried thousands of products and only a couple of them are worth having. Here are 10 beauty secrets every teen should know…

10. Skip the foundation

If you have acne, then it is important that you skip the foundation. Foundation is for older women, not for teenagers. It is going to cover up your natural beauty. Foundation on a teenager is far from natural. If you have blemishes, then try covering them up with some concealer and follow this step with some tinted moisturizer or some powder.

9. You can never go wrong with layers for your hair

Long layers are great for all hair types. It does not matter if you have straight, wavy or super curly hair. It will make thin hair look thicker, wavy hair look like you just got back from the beach sexy and curly hair look more manageable. For a little added advice, make sure you do not put too many layers in there. Also, super short layers are out dated.

8. Are you dealing with acne?

Go to a dermatologist. What is the biggest mistake people someone with acne could make? Not getting professional help. Forget about those expensive jeans you want, getting rid of the pimples will be the best investment you could ever make. The only guaranteed way to get rid of them would be to see a dermatologist.
