Today's Obsessions

When things are going right between you and your partner, you feel it. When you are happy, you support one another. You talk and think about each other in positive ways when you are not together. When things are not going all that well, you are able to feel that as well. Below, I am going to give you 8 signs your relationship is in trouble. What you decide to do once you discover your relationship is in trouble is fully up to you.

8. Your partner looks terrified whenever you have the "where are we headed" talk.

It is fair to request some clarity as to where the relationship is heading from time to time. You do not want to put too much pressure on your partner, but there is nothing wrong with asking where the two of you stand. If your partner starts to get defensive and freaks out whenever this subject comes up, then he or she may not be into the relationship as much as you are.

7. One of you are constantly demanding to be the center of attention in the relationship.

A relationship is made of two individuals that are balanced. If your partner has started to demand too much attention, is ordering you around and insists that it is always his/her way, then it may be a problem.

6. There is too much focus on what's wrong.

In the relationship, there is too much focus on what is wrong in the relationship and not what is right. When the two of you talk about how things are going in your relationship, do all of the wrong things come up? I am not saying that you should not address those obstacles, but sometimes, it is important that you focus on the good things in the relationship.

There are so many things to think about when you're planning your wedding. There's the dress, your shoes, your trousseau, the food, the music… and of course, the flowers! You want them to suit your own personal style, match your gown, and of course, they have to be gorgeous! It can be daunting to get started, or to even know what you might be looking for… which is where I come in. I've researched a lot of flowers that would be perfect for a wedding, and sorted them by color…

1. Whites

White, ivory, cream, ecru… there are so many different shades of white. But which white is right? If you're marrying in the spring or summer, then go for something fresh and delicate, like gerbera daisies, freesia, Ranunculus, or the standard white roses. In the fall, the Gerberas would still work, but you may want to add more Gerberas in a more autumnal hue, like orange or pink or even red. In the winter, why not add some holly? Avoid lilies, though, since those tend to remind people of more somber occasions, like funerals and wakes.

2. Reds

Red is a fabulous color for wedding bouquets, from classic velvety red roses, to sweet sassy Gerbera daisies or proud spring tulips. Add a dash of color with any or all of these, but be careful — the reds can be hard to match!

3. Pinks

I hate to sound like a broken record, but one of the prettiest wedding flowers in pink would have to be Gerbera daisies. Or try more spring tulips, or even gladiolas, or hibiscus, especially if you're planning an outdoor or tropical beach wedding.

Summer will be here before we know it, and with it comes millions of bored kids and teens. Nip that boredom in the bud by helping your child or teen get a summer job! Not sure where to start? Here are some suggestions for great summer jobs for your kids!

1. Babysitter

Good for: Teen girl, at least 14 years old
This appeals more to teenaged girls than boys, but boys can do it just as well. Make sure your son or daughter is old enough (at least 14) and has been certified in child CPR by the Red Cross before they work, and also make sure they have worked out a work and payment schedule with the parents.

2. Dog walker

Good for: Girl or boy, at least 12 years old
This would be perfect for a teen boy or girl who loves animals and being outdoors! Lots of neighbors have large dogs that don’t want to be cooped up inside all summer long, so they can hire your son or daughter (at least 12) to walk their dog. Make sure the dog is healthy and up-to-date on shots, first, and make sure the dogs are always on a lead.

3. Library Aid

Good for: Girl or boy, at least 12 years old
Some libraries hire tweens to shelve books or supervise kiddie craft time, and this would be a great summer job for a little bookworm. Check with your local library early in the spring, though, since these jobs tend to go fast!

With exercise evolving everyday you'll find that working with an exercise buddy or in groups can spice up your workouts and help you succeed with your weight loss at a much faster rate.  Not only will having work-out buddies help you enjoy your time at the gym more, but you’ll be inspired to get fit watching each other work out. . But there are some things you need to keep in mind when working out with a partner or group setting.

1. Can Lead To Amazing Results

Exercising in a group can lead to amazing results. If you make an effort to push and motivate each other, then seeing results will come faster than you think.

2. Awesome Support

Being able to be there for one another is important because if one person from the group lacks a certain skill or isn't as conditioned as other participants, then that person will need your help to continue on and vice versa.

3. Be Picky Of Who You Choose

Sometimes weight loss success does come with a catch…unfortunately. Especially in a group setting, if one person is seeing more results than another, then this might cause a jealous feud to begin. Frustration will kick in because one person might think that she's putting in the same time and effort with no, or little results.
This is why picking and choosing who you work with is very important. If the group understands that everyone's body is different and will react differently to different exercises, then it shouldn't be a problem. Take your time and choose your exercise companions with care.

4. Ditch Negative People

The last thing you want to do is have a super negative person join you and suck your energy, enthusiasm and health straight down the drain. It' a good idea to workout with women who share similar goals, this way you can all be on the same page and progress at the same rate.
In the end more and more women are pairing up, or even forming an exercise group to get through their workouts. It's a great motivational strategy to keep you on track and achieve your goals at a much faster rate than if you did it alone.
So if you're stuck in a rut with your exercise routines grab a friend to help you skyrocket your fitness to the next level.
