Maxi dresses was a growing trend last season, but they never really reached their peak… but that peak is on its way now, with gorgeous new Spring/Summer versions of the classic dresses. I've been taking inspiration from the catwalk and the celebs, and here are my top ten…

1. Staple Drawstring Maxi Dress

Price: $94 at asos.com
Spring and Summer always make me feel like taking it easy, and this dress encompasses that brilliantly! The plain grey colour is given a Summer brightener, and is perfect for wearing on its own for very casual chic, or dressing up with accessories to create a new outfit every time!

2. Manoush Embellished Maxi Dress

Price: $191 at asos.com
White looks great against a tan, and this embellished white dress is the perfect mix of dressed up and casual, which makes it perfect for casual parties and Summer nights. It's just fitted enough to show off your figure, and comes with a thin gold belt to highlight your waist. Accessorize with chunky bangles, golden shoes and down hair.

3. Staple Cross Back Maxi

Price: $85 at asos.com
Want night-time glam? This is the maxi for you! The black colour and fitted shape mean its perfect for nights out, but the block colouring keep it low key, and the cross back is right on trend. Go monochrome with white bangle and a white belt, or add a touch of silver…

My mother met her husband, my step-father, using an online dating service. So did my friend Liz and my cousin Jacque. I asked them how they found their Prince Charming using online dating, and here's what they said…

1. Be honest.

Most important of all, when completing your online dating profile, or corresponding with a potential match, be honest. Anything misleading you say will only come back and haunt you later.

2. Play it safe.

Never, ever agree to meet someone from th dating site at your home, or anywhere secluded. Always meet somewhere public, with lots of other people. And also, run a background check on the person. In some jurisdictions, it's free.

3. Follow the rules.

If the online dating site you choose to use has guidelines or rules for contacting a match, follow them. In the past, men have contacted me outside of the site, which gave me the impression they were cheap, not willing to pay the membership fee to contact me through the site. Not a good impression!

4. Don't overdo it!

Don't go overboard and correspond with too many potential suitors. Pick only a few, and pursue them. If they don't work out, select a new batch.

I remember going to Disney World with my mom and dad when I was younger. Yes, memories of the Dumbo ride still comes to my mind. I will tell you about that as I am going to include the Dumbo ride somewhere in my article, you just have to read to the end to find it! I also remember the Merry-Go-Round… anyhow, I am going to give you my 10 best attractions in Disney World…

10. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

Who here loves Spider Man? He's incredible… okay, more like amazing! This is a good attraction that combines the 3-D film experience with the unique roving motion base simulator technology. You will go through the world of Spidey and his arch-enemies.

9. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

2dayblog.com
This is a classic Disney theme park attraction. It combines dazzling effects with a clever storyline that is based on "The Twilight Zone" television series.

8. Pirates of the Caribbean

disneyfamiliesandmore.files.wordpress.com
Many say that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is the best one in the whole park. Walt himself was involved in this one but passed away before it opened in the year 1967. This ride is filled with a lot of excitement that you cannot turn down!

Are you looking for a fun place to spend summer vacation with you kids? Sometimes it's hard to find a spot where you can enjoy yourself while the kids have a blast too. Below are some of my favorite choices. Be prepared for some serious fun!

1. Branson, Missouri

One of my all time favorite places to visit! There's so much to do and see, you could never do or see it all. There are fabulous shows to watch, including singing, magic shows, and side slapping comedy festivals to enjoy. Most places have family passes to help out your wallet, and most shows and attractions are enjoyable by all age groups.

2. Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri

A real family experience awaits you here! A relatively small amusement park, but huge on fun. They offer rides, attractions, shows, and different show down in Echo Hollow every night, which is included in your admission pass. If you have never visited, make an effort this summer to try it out. You'll love it!

3. Out n About Treehouse Treesort in Takilma, Oregon

Now this is a different place! Real cabins in real trees that resemble a real Swiss Family Robinson experience! You'll pass by swinging bridges, spiral staircases, and fire pits on brick patios at this unique resort. One piece of advice: Make your reservations up to a year early to secure your hide-away in the trees.

Most of us call a doctor when we know we're sick, but we're not sure if we need to call for particular symptoms. How high of a fever is too high? Should you call about the pain in your chest? Here's my list of the eight reasons to see your doctor, and how soon you ought to seek help.

1. Fever of more than 101˚

If you have a fever of more than 101˚, especially if you have other symptoms, like diarrhea, vomiting, sore throat, or flu-like symptoms, you should definitely phone your doctor. A prolonged high fever means there's something seriously wrong, something that may need to be treated right away. Don't ignore it! And don't wait until office hours — call NOW!

2. Unexpected bleeding

If you notice blood in your stool or In your urine, of if you're experiencing bleeding between your normal periods, you need to make an appointment to see your doctor right away, especially if you're experiencing pain or difficulty urinating. Blood in your urine can signal a urinary tract infection or kidney stones, and among other things, blood in your stool can mean you have a polyp or hemorrhoids. Bleeding between periods can mean many things, so it's a good idea to call your doctor if you notice any sort of unusual bleeding.

3. Unexplained weight loss or gain

Slight weight fluctuations are normal, and if you're dieting, or have recently stopped dieting, they're to be expected. But any weight loss or weight gain that you can't explain may be a sign of trouble. Call your doctor and schedule an appointment.

If you're anything like me, you're hopelessly addicted to shoes, handbags, and jewelry. I love adding them to my closet because they can transform the blandest outfit into something truly fab! One of my favorite designers is Kate Spade, because her accessories are so unique, and so on-trend! I'm delighted with her spring line-up, and here is my list of the ten most fab Kate Spade accessories… enjoy!

1. Kate Spade "Metro" Patent T-Strap Sandal

Price: $225.00 at neimanmarcus.com
I love these sandals! They're attention-getting for sure, with their pink patent details and the rubber inserts at the heel and toe. The t-strap is very sexy, and so is the little ankle strap with the gold-tone buckle (for extra sparkle!). Pair with a pencil skirt or floaty floral dress… perfect!

2. Kate Spade "Oops a Daisy" Necklace

Price: $225.00 at neimanmarcus.com
April showers bring May flowers, and if they're flowers like these, who could complain about the rain? These retro-style gold daisies add brilliance to any spring-time outfit, and since the chain adjusts two inches, it's sure to work with any neckline.

3. Kate Spade "Gwen" Python-Print Pump

Price: $325.00 at neimanmarcus.com
Do you love the look of python, but feel that twinge of guilt for wanting to wear it? Opt for this sleek leather with a realistic gold-washed python print and get the look without the shame. The peep toe is a great way to show off that pretty Chanel red pedicure, too!

1. Denim Shirt

Oh man, I so want one. But summer in my city is just too hot for wearing denim! What do you think if I go down the chambray route instead?

2. Denim Boyfriend Jeans

These would look good worn with booties, donchathink? I love the overly distressed look.

3. Denim Wedge Shoes

These are so sexy and would look great with your white summer dress. Fashion Under $100 found us a pair that costs only $24.99. Awesome.

4. Denim Diamond Dress

A printed beauty by none other than Marc Jacobs. Very cute and spring-appropriate, yes?

5. Denim Jacket

To wear over your pretty floral dresses this season. I have been looking for something in lightwash because the one I own is a bit dark.

It is hard for me to believe the number of times I hear my friends say they lock themselves in the bathroom for ten to twenty minutes just to have a little alone time. I'm sorry but bonding with the toilet is not quality alone time.
I agree that having time to yourself is important for any women. Making that time can be difficult especially when you are balancing family life, commitments, work, and everything else under the big blue sky. The question isn't what you would do with a little extra time, but how to find the extra time.

1. As a part of running errands …

When I leave the house to go to the grocery store or run other errands I make a stop at a local coffee shop. I take the time to go inside and get my coffee and spend time reading a magazine. It's a break that may only last 15 minutes before I have to head on with my real task, but if nothing more it is a break.

2. After my child goes to bed …

Time alone doesn't have to mean some great adventure outside the house. When I need a moment I plan a relaxing activity to enjoy after my child goes to bed. Often times I take a long hot bath or pamper myself with a pedicure.

3. Set an Appointment with Yourself…

When I set my weekly calendar, I always make a date for just for me. This is time I use as a please. Sometimes I go out for lunch with a friend. Other times I take a few hours to browse the book store. I have a few friends that meet every Sunday to knit. The good thing is, because I planned ahead I know I’m not neglecting my family or other things that need to get done.
I always feel better after I’ve had my personal time. It is like my battery has been recharged. I believe taking that time off always helps me to focus more clearly on my family, friends, work, and school.
