What's worse than Monday morning? Monday morning with bad hair! But there's hope for even the frizziest, limpest, or just plain BAD hair day! Here a few tips that you can try when faced with the most horrible of hair days.

1. De-frizz it

If your hair naturally has some wave but tends to be frizzy in high humidity, then you know the pain of a bad hair day! Try a product like The Body Shop Brazil Nut Define & No-Frizz to tame frizzy hair.

2. Bring it to life

If your hair is limp and lank, you may have used too much mousse or gel. Use a spray bottle with warm water, Bend at your waist, turn your head upside down, and spray a gentle mist on your roots. Shake your head a few times, then flip it back up and then style your hair. Much better!

3. Get rid of static

This is such a big problem in winter, especially if you wear a hat! To control static, I keep a box of fabric softener sheet in my desk. Just rub one lightly over your hair. Or try a tiny dab of leave-in conditioner. Both work great!

4. De-grease, quick!

No time to shampoo? Try a dry shampoo, like Tigi's Rockaholic Dirty Secret. Spray on at the roots to absorb excess oils and odors, then comb through and style as usual. Perfect when you only have a few minutes to do your normal hair-care routine.

Brown hair seems to be huge at the moment and all of my friends are dyeing their hair different shades of brown! I'm far too pale to ditch my blonde locks, but if you are tempted over to the dark side, here are my top seven tips for going brown…

1. Can you do it yourself?

Generally, you should be able to color your hair yourself. However, if it is in bad condition, or has different tones in it, a hairstylist might be a better option. Hair dye won't take well to hair in bad condition and will leave your color patchy, so you might save yourself some disappointment!

2. Which Kit?

Kits sold in supermarkets and chemists contain different chemicals to kits from salons, which will generally give better results. That said, if you follow the instructions, you can get amazing and very professional looking results from a supermarket kit and they are of very good quality and value these days.

3. Prep Your House

Grab old towels to cover anything valuable and stay away from your bedroom, especially if your bed has white sheets! Cover the sofa if you are likely to sit on it, and hide any important paperwork. Some hair dyes have to be left on for 55 minutes, and you'll be surprised how far you'll move in that time!

Who doesn’t want a set of sparkly white teeth that shine and bedazzle? I know I do! But let’s face it, mortals like us cannot afford the often expensive dental treatment options. What if I told you that you now had an opportunity to win a total smile makeover thanks to DearDoctor.com! As the winner, you could get an Ultimate Dental Health Makeover worth up to $35,000! Excited already? Read on to know more…

1. Who Runs The Contest?

The Smile Makeover contest is being run by “Dear Doctor - Dentistry & Oral Health” magazine, a quarterly magazine written by dental health care professionals in simple, uncomplicated, “non-medical” language for the general public. Essentially, the magazine opens the lines of communication between patients and dental professionals by providing patients with the necessary education to make confident, informed healthcare decisions.
Smile Makeover – or the Ultimate Dental Health Makeover Contest – has been on for quite some time and already has one winner who walked off with $33,000 worth of dental work.  It doesn't matter if all you need are crowns, implants, veneers, orthodontics, periodontics etc. or if you need a total smile makeover, if you win, Dear Doctor will provide the dental work!

2. How Does Smile Makeover Contest Work?

Basically, Dear Doctor has a group of contest sponsors and participating dentists, who donate everything that will be needed to fix your teeth. To be picked as the winner, you will have to agree to appear in "Dear Doctor – Dentistry & Oral Health" magazine. The staff of the magazine picks 10 random people and calls them to see if they object to the gift tax. If anyone does, the magazine just picks another person to fill their spot.

I admit it: most days, the only make-up I wear is eye make-up. I won't leave the house, except to go to the gym, without eye liner and mascara at least. I have a huge make-up bag full of purple-hued eye liners and inky black mascaras and about two dozen shades of purple eye shadow, from the palest lavender to midnight violets. And almost all of them are MAC Eyeshadows. There's a very good reason why, too — because Mac Eyeshadow is the absolute best.

Price: $14.50 at maccosmetics.com
First of all, no matter which color you prefer or what you're looking for, MAC is bound to have at least three or four eyeshadows that are exactly what you want. There are, after all, 176 different shades to choose from, like the demure Filament (the palest of pinks) to a deep inky Carbon (nearly black). The color is intense, and it doesn't crease or flake or wear off, but it's not greasy, so a simple swipe with a warm washcloth will remove all traces of it. MAC Eyeshadows also blend beautifully, so if you're going for a smoky eye look, or even rainbow eyes, these are the shadows for you. There are also matte shades and glimmering shades for rocking the glam look or for keeping it subtle for the office.
Right now, I have at least 30 of these tiny black pot of shadow in my make-up bag. It's something of an addiction, but I know I'm not alone — once you try them, you'll never want to use anything other than MAC Eyeshadows. Really.

Ah beach life!  Laying out in the summer sun in nothing but an itsy bitsy, teen weeny bikini. But sometimes, you need to cover-up, throw something on really quick so that you can do something not tan related. Well, the following cover-ups are here to help!

1. Milly Crochet Cotton Cover-up

Price: $195 at net-a-porter.com
This is the perfect cover-up that just hints at a little bit more. The tiny cutouts give you a glimpse of that’s underneath without being indecent. And it’s got a very relaxed feel. It’s the perfect addition to any beach bag! Definitely a beach essential!

2. Shay Todd Strapless Toweling Mini Dress

Price: $185 at net-a-porter.com
Finally, a two in one towel dress that doesn’t look trashy. Just throw this bad boy on, straight out of the pool and you get a dry off and a cute little dress!

3. Lotta Stensson Dip-Dye Silk Handkerchief Dress

April showers bring May flowers, which is great, except that April showers also get our clothes wet and ruin our hair when we're not prepared! So grab your cutest umbrella and one of these great rain coats — if you can't chase those clouds away, you might as well stay dry and look smashing!

1. Marc by Marc Jacobs "Wild at Heart" Rain Coat

2. Tulle Clothing "Scantron" Raincoat

Look closely, or you'll miss them, the tiny dots in neon yellow, orange, and white, scattered across this slick blue rain coat. I love the Peter Pan collar and hip pockets, plus the retro-inspired three-button close. I'd wear this with my darkest skinny jeans and a plain white top… and some rain boots, of course!

3. Nick & Mo "Come Rain or Shine" Coat

Price: $114.99 at modcloth.com
Come rain or shine, either way you'll be prepared, and pretty! This hooded rain coat cinches at the waist (flattering!) and is fully lined (warm!). I'd wear this on a rainy day with black pants and a sheer top… and depending on just how rainy it was, a pair of chunky sandals…
