The German Creative Weekend - Pictorion das Werk and Saatchi & Saatchi's Opening Party at Nu Soul

Creatives work hard and party harder. As this is a well-known fact, there was already a small crowd of mid/over thirty-year-olds dressed in black gathering at 10pm, outside the door of Frankfurt’s Nu Soul Club, which is practically located near the Zoo venue and directly inside the Saatchi & Saatchi headquarters.

And guess who had the great honour of being warned to be punctual next time by the incredibly lovable and dominant Saatchi art buyer, in front of a large audience at 22:15? On the other side, you won’t get much closer to Guido Heffels and Dirk Häusermann than in the juicy crowds outside the door.

UPdate 10 in Frankfurt am Main - we would like to use this opportunity to say thank you !

"We would like to say thank you. You didn’t just provide an incredibly sincere and friendly experience, but one that was also really informative. In addition to the ‘classics’ of photography, I viewed plenty of young, new and fresh portfolios. My opinion of photography today (and I must say you presented an ideal selection): besides a majority of photographers that produce good, but sometimes replaceable, work to the highest of standards, there are always true exceptional talents to discover, which create new and unseen work. And you have once again managed to find a truly chic location!! I am looking forward to the next UPdate!” Stefan Baggen, BaggenDesign GmbH

Yes, we Cannes ! meet GoSee on the beach, at the festival, at the pool, in the lounge, on the sea ....

Once again this year quite a few people are asking themselves: “Cannes I or Cannes I not?” Well we’re certainly already looking forward to it – after the creative weekend in Frankfurt – the next stop is the creative week on the Croisette.

We have collected various insider tips in advance at the UPdate. We have already confirmed our champagne Wednesday date on the beach with Claudi, as well as 1st Unit, the Telemaz girls, perhaps a little yacht excursion with Franzi … so many great sunny (fingers crossed) treats await. Perhaps Rolfe will also climb on the banana boat again for our entertainment?

From 25 May onwards, ‘The Ghost Who Walks’ will no longer just be her schoolgirl nickname but also the title of her first solo album.

2Agenten Galerie, Berlin : from small scale to large scale - enter illustrator Julia Pfaller's mysterious curiousity cabinet

In her ‘Panoptikum’ exhibition, Julia Pfaller presents the partly autobiographical, partly made-up pearls of an illustration career. A panopticon or curiosity cabinet presents the unusual objects the world has to offer and 2Agenten Galerie will present Julia Pfaller’s work in the same light.

We telephone ambushed Julia Pfaller cycling on her way to the private view. What were her spontaneous thoughts on the exhibition? “Wonderful, surreal, and scary!” Particularly scary, as such a wide variety of diverse work has been realised over the past seven years. And all by one person...
