Posted: 13 May 2010 02:26 AM PDT Emergencies happen, situations that you weren’t anticipating occur. For those unexpected moments, My Tagalongs will be there to get you through them, without batting an eye. What exactly do I mean? Think disposable underwear — I know it may sound bazaar, but My Tagalongs has created a mini pack of two pairs for only $3 that can fit so easily into your handbag. Consider this situation: your traveling for work or vacation, and your checked luggage is lost — thank goodness you’ve got a back up plan already in your purse (now you just need to Febreze your clothes!). I’m really into cool, practical little items that make me think “I wish I invented that!” and My Tagalongs has a few of those — check out my favorite items from the brand below: Tampon Tote, $7.50 Purse Hook-er, $14 Purse-Onifier, $18 |
Posted: 12 May 2010 07:16 PM PDT From our friends at thefind.com: I do a lot of window shopping (online and in stores) at every spare moment I get so it's easy to spot trends that can be found from Bloomingdale's to Forever 21. One of my favorite trends of spring and summer this year is chambray. The lightweight cotton fabric looks like denim but is much thinner and softer. In fact, chambray shirts feel like you've owned them for years after a wash or two. Chambray gives a bit of a retro and western vibe, but designers like Alexander Wang and Vince are taking the fabric of farmers and miners to the next level for fashion forward people like you. I love that this trend is so popular because that means you can find it at any price point. If you're willing to splurge, my choice is the Vince Uneven Hem Shirt that's perfect with shorts or a flirty skirt. If you're on a budget, go for the Hinge Chambray Skater Skirt which hits both the chambray and circle skirt trend in one fell swoop. When all else fails, try a local thrift store because chambray was huge in the 80s and 90s. Save on chic summer chambray at TheGap from TheFind's coupon site |

Posted: 12 May 2010 01:47 AM PDT I love it when my shopping discoveries surprise me; great style does not always have to cost an arm and a leg to achieve – great styling on the other hand? It feels like an art form at times, but when you find a great item that does the talking — styling it with footwear, accessories, and other apparel can be easy breezy! Here, I am wearing the LC Lauren Conrad Floral Babydoll Dress, on sale for $44 (was $60) from Kohl’s, paired with a key necklace from ModCloth.com and snap shoes by Lindsay Phillips. I love the texture and water brushed print of this dress, that also has soft bodice structure and two thin straps, which I actually prefer to wear tucked inside, converting the dress to a strapless one. Intrigued by this look? Check out more of the LC Lauren Conrad Collection for Kohl’s here. |
