I was introduced to this line of products at the Maria Pinto show last season (they provided the makeup looks) and the Chicago-based Amazing Cosmetics most certainly did not disappoint! Available online at Sephora.com, I can’t get enough of their incredible concealer, that takes care of the pinkest of pimples and darkest of under eye circles, but I also tested and loved their Suede Collection eye shadow quad in Wheat, which gives one the guidance to create a variety of looks using contour and liner capabilities. Check out the entire line of products, and support a very cool company on the rise!

Kushyfoot = seriously awesome. I kid not. I first came across the brand in my local Rite Aid when I was in search of some nude-colored peds, and quickly became a fan of their foot covers – a product that you can wear with heels or sneakers to prevent those awful skin rub or blister issues. Recently, Kushyfoot gave me some of their products to test out, and I can vouch that they definitely did not disappoint. The differentiator for the Kushyfoot products is focused on the idea of reflexology, providing a  massaging, grooved texture on the bottom. I found the tights to be of excellent quality, particularly for the affordable price point, and any extra comfort provided to make wearing three inch heels more comfortable is alright in my book! The Yoga Socks were a great idea, since now I don’t have to run in my bare feet, on my tippy toes from the locker room to the yoga studio. All in all, feet are so important to one’s overall well-being, so why not show them a little extra love?  I think you’ll be impressed too; check them out at Kushyfoot.com or at your local mega-pharmacy.

Earth day may have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be environmentally friendly and chic with your fashion-related options 364 days of the year! I recently attended a Robert Verdi Tweet This event entitled ‘Eco -Chic for Earth Day,’ and found out about some cool products that I had never heard of before! Here are my favorites, that I thought you’d like to know about:

Perhaps you remember our insane night out during the first ever Fashion’s Night Out in NYC this past September, or maybe you experienced it yourself first hand! This year, Fashion's Night Out is truly staging an extravaganza — the largest ever public fashion show in NYC history!   On September 7th, 200 of the industry's top models will head to Lincoln Center and present the massive show – produced by Vogue in conjunction with SPEC Entertainment, will highlight key trends of the Fall 2010 season (as identified by Vogue, naturally), will feature merchandise intended for fall delivery, and inspire shoppers as give shoppers a taste of what to expect when the second Fashion's Night Out event starts a few days later on Friday, September 10th.   The show will seat 1,500 guests, although if you aren’t in attendance you’ll still be able to watch it; for the live show tickets will be available through the Lincoln Center box office later this summer, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting The New York City AIDS Fund.
If you are a retailer and would like to be on the official list, you can now register at www.fashionsnightout.com. Last season, I used this as a starting point to plan my journey through the city and hit as many stores and events along the way!
