Celebrate Mom With a Little Knitted Gift Bevy of Bangles is from Gifted by Mags Kandis. Mags shows you how to make these beautiful bracelets on episode 411 of Knitting Daily TV, too. You can whip these up in an afternoon!      Seta Print and Joy Scarf  from Knitting Daily TV episode 407. A scarf is a great quick-finish project—I've made one up in a couple of evenings. Amanda's Squatty Sidekick is a free pattern shown on Knitting Daily TV episode 207. This felted bag uses just 275 yards of yarn and it's a one-night project—really! Mother's Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Not because I'm a mother but because I have the Best Mom On the Planet! (I know most of you will disagree with me, and that's okay!)      Lisa Shroyer's Pointed Kerchief is an easy, garter-stitch kerchief with a cabled band. It's flattering on most and is a fun twist on the bandanna. The Lacy Sachet by Eunny Jang is a sweet  mother's day gift. Fill it with Mom's favorite scent—lavendar buds, crushed eucalyptus leaves, potpourri —and she'll think of you each time she catches a whiff! My mom is funny, beautiful, fun, creative, smart, loving, and so much more. She's one of my best friends, and probably the person I have the most in common with. I got my craftiness from my mom, who nurtured creativity in all three of her kids. We've all benefited immensely from this in our lives and livelihoods—I get to work in knitting, my sister has a degree in metal-smithing and makes fabulous jewelry, and my brother is an accomplished writer. My mom set a good example for all of us: she has an MFA in creative writing and is a wonderful poet. It's amazing to belong to a family of creative, critical thinkers—we are involved in each others lives in a way that is special and meaningful, sharing advice and support on a daily basis. I'm really lucky! A supermom needs a super Mother's Day gift, right? Since one of my issues that my mom hasn't been able to break me of is procrastination, I haven't started a knitted gift yet and there's only a week left before the big day. I have a feeling a few of you are in this sinking boat with me, so to get you motivated I've chosen some quickie projects from our free pattern collection.
